Bumpin Uglies Caps Off Mid Atlantic Dub Tour at Jannus Live

Tunnel Vision - Looking Glass (Live)

This past Saturday, November 12, the beasts from the east, Bumpin Uglies, hailing all the way from Maryland performed at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg. The famed venue marked the band's final stop on their Mid Atlantic Dub tour and brought Joey Harkum and Tunnel Vision along for the ride. The night had a fantastic collection of great tunes from artists from both coasts of the country.

Joey Harkum and his guitar delivered a stellar solo performance to kick off the evening's festivities. The magnetic force of his solo performance drew everyone close to the rail, and his emotional set produced a lofty and hypnotic vibe in the air.

Bodies grooved and smiles grew with each song.

At one point Ethan Lichtenberger of Bumpin Uglies joined with a melodica in hand and together they put everyone in the venue in a trance. Brandon Hardesty then stepped up on stage and joined the fun.

However, the trance produced by Harkum and the guests turned into a pure adrenalized frenzy because Tunnel Vision blew everyone away with their explosive ska infused songs that had everyone rocking back and forth. The set felt like absolute pandemonium in the best way possible.

The crowd roared as they sung each song victoriously.

The haughty horns blasted through the venue, keeping the energy elevated throughout the night.

By the time Bumpin Uglies came on stage, the courtyard buzzed with immeasurable energy. The wild girls came, equipped with dutchies rolled with the finest dro. If you know, then you know. The whole set boomed with a raw power that felt as though it caused the buildings around the venue to shake. The band's latest songs from Mid Atlantic Dub complimented older songs. Such as when the banger from 2015, "Bad Decisions" led into "You Don't Gotta Die". The transition was seamless and almost seemed to tell the tale of the wild party animal we all remember from college.

By the end of the show, it felt as though a tidal wave of energy wiped through the venue because no one wanted to leave. The final stop of the tour was momentous to say the least, each song topped the previous one.

Jannus always has a way of bringing not only the best out of artists who play them but also the crowd.

The night had to end sometime, but the ringing anthems of Annapolis, Maryland's supreme band played in the ears all night long.
